Analysis: Why Some Web 2.0 Sites Will Never Attract Big Ad Dollars

Based on a informal analysis, my belief is that many online communities, bloggers, social networks will never attract a critical mass of advertisers because they are not set up properly to attract visitors who have a commercial intent to buy products and services.     The visitors buy intent is important for advertisers and may determine the rate an advertisers is willing to pay. With regards to the proprietary Microsoft tool to determine, a site visitors intent, I am not sure I will buy in. We need more open methods and new matrix. The Matrix which worked in web 1.0 may not work in web 2.0 economy, in my opinion.
