Facebook Beacons - say goodbye to Privacy
While it seems to be a clever idea, a quick review reveals that Beacon might turn out to be a privacy hairball for the company. Facebook announced that they will be delivering more targeted ads based on data collected with 44 partner sites. The data is collected using Javascript beacons which sends the data to Facebook on user behavior helping Facebook triangulate user behavior. (read full story at: gigaom.com)

Bah! Too much Facebook hype - what's the big deal about it anyway? Get too rich too quick?
Well, there is some substance in Privacy issues. If Google has to attempt something similar, everybody will be up in arms.
As web transitions and matures, we have to watch-out for user privacy.
Look, Privacy is just a negotiated deal. How much am I as a user, willing to give up in return for potential benefit? Security should be guaranteed in any system.
