The IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Santa Clara Valley Society organized its annual Short Course titled “WiMAX: Opportunities, Challenges and Concepts”, on Saturday 19 April 2008 at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center Auditorium. IEEE من الناحية النظريه فإن الموجات الدقيقة والتقنيات وادي سانتا كلارا المجتمع نظمت دورة قصيرة في تقريرها السنوي تحت عنوان "واي ماكس : الفرص والتحديات والمفاهيم" ، يوم السبت 19 نيسان / ابريل 2008 في مسرع ستانفورد الخطى قاعة المركز.

Dr. Mohammed Shakouri الدكتور محمد شاكوري of Alvarion, also the Chair of Marketing Working Group, WiMAX Forum spoke on the WiMAX Industry Trends. من alvarion ، وايضا رئيس الفريق العامل التسويق ، واي ماكس منتدى واي ماكس تكلم على اتجاهات الصناعة. The second half of the day was kicked off by Dr Raymond Pengelly of Cree Wireless Devices who spoke about the potential of GaN Transistors for amplifiers in WiMAX base stations. النصف الثاني من هذا اليوم والركل من جانب الدكتور ريمون pengelly الكرى من الاجهزه اللاسلكيه من تحدث عن امكانيه غان الترنزستورات ومكبرات للواي ماكس في المحطات الرئيسية.

This was followed by Tom Tofigh who chairs the WiMAX Forum Application Working Group, who spoke on “An Open Architecture for Application Deployment over WiMAX”. واعقب ذلك من توم tofigh يرأس واي ماكس منتدى طلب الفريق العامل ، من تكلم عن "الهندسه المعماريه مفتوح لنشر التطبيق على مدى واي ماكس". An end to end solution for WiMAX applications would work, with open platforms, open devices giving rise to interesting aspects such as role of QoE (Quality of Experience), multiple service classes, etc. A lot of very interesting opportunities are coming up to tap into the potential of moving from networking of networks to service based networks.  I found his talk very engaging and well-researched. وضع حد لنهاية حل وأي ماكس لتطبيقات العمل ، وفتح منابر مفتوحة الاجهزه مما أدى الى جوانب مثل دور qoe (نوعية التجربه) ، وخدمات متعددة الطبقات ، وما الى الكثير من فرص مثيرة جدا للاهتمام للاستفادة من الخروج الى امكانيه الانتقال من شبكات الربط الشبكي لخدمة الشبكات القائمة على اساس ووجدت كلامه شيق جدا وبحث جيد.

David Huynh of Agilent wrapped it up with an introduction to the WiMAX Wave 2 testing, MIMO and Space Time Coding and a demo of the Agilent products/capabilities to testing WiMAX systems. ديفيد huynh من Agilent ملفوفه انه حتى مع مقدمة لموجة واي ماكس 2 الاختبار ، mimo الفضاء والوقت وترميزها وعرض تجريبي للمنتجات Agilent / اختبار قدرات لانظمة واي ماكس. A few interesting nuggets that I gleaned are: عدد قليل من اهتمام ناغتس انني استقاها هي :

• It provides an example of ويقدم مثالا لل Coburn Ventures Coburn المشاريع - an investment consultancy that has only virtual offices.  All employees are always connected through their BlackBerries and work mostly through the internet.  Considering that about 40% of IBM’s workforce have virtual offices only, I see this as a positive trend in a truly global, flat world.  Funny, that this is an example where “location, location, location” takes on a different significance. -- المشوره في مجال الاستثمار الا ان مكاتب افتراضيه. جميع العاملين ترتبط دوما من خلال العمل والعليق ومعظمهم من خلال شبكة الانترنت. وبالنظر الى ان نحو 40 ٪ من القوى العاملة في شركة آي بي ام تتمتع عمليا مكاتب فقط ، وأرى ان هذا اتجاه ايجابى فى حقا العالمية ، مسطحة في العالم. مضحكا ، ان هذا هو المثال الذي يكون فيه "الموقع ، موقع ، موقع" يأخذ على اهمية مختلفة.
• Nomadic work life is moving to the ‘third places’.  Yet, البدويه حياة العمل هو التحرك الى 'اماكن الثالثة'. ومع ذلك ، James Katz جيمس كاتز of Rutgers feels that these places are “physically inhabited but psychologically evacuated”.  Talk of being in من روتجرز ترى ان هذه الاماكن "التي يقطنها جسديا ولكن نفسيا الذين تم اجلاؤهم". الحديث يجري في Second Life الحياة الثانية in the في third place المركز الثالث using the باستخدام 7th Mass Media السابعه وسائل الاعلام .

• Andreas Kluth, the author of the report says, “Nomadism increases productivity—you get more done. اندرياس Kluth ، المؤلف من التقرير يقول : "الحياة البدويه زيادة الانتاجية لكم للحصول على مزيد من القيام به. With it comes an addictive behaviour that also occurs in gambling. الامر مع وجود السلوك الادماني ان يحدث ايضا في القمار.
