Nanosolar is emerging as an star. With the $1 per watt cost for solar panels which they manufacture by printing solar circuits on aluminum plates, they are well positioned to disrupt and challenge the coal powered industry.
They claim that their unique manufacturing process brings down costs by 80% when compared to silicon wafer powered solar panels.
