Spiceworks IT Desktop is an interesting product with an innovative business model - an Ad supported IT management desktop written in Ruby on Rails targeted at SMB 25 - 250 segment. Supports both VNC and RDP protocols and it has crossed 10,000 downloads. CA and other vendors better watch out as this startup is changing the business model in this segment and may target other market in the future.
