Yahoo acquires Zimbra for $350
It is payday for Zimbra folks after acquisition of Zimbra by Yahoo for $350 Million. Zimbra is a unique startup with open source development model. This is Yahoo's entry into the application space. (read full story at: ross.typepad.com)

I should add that probably Zimbra's brand new Ajaxified desktop which allows users to work with their data even when offline did the trick. I think key would be adding zimbra in Yahoo's fold and leveraging Zimbra's unique edge and redoing some Yahoo products.
Yahoo is now becoming an application company. Nice move.
Blogosphere is buzzing with Yahoo news. If all the bloggers like the Yahoo's move, they must be doing something right.
