Meebo Platform Launches With a Big Party

Backed by venture firm Sequoia, Meebo launched with a big San Francisco bash and also announced plans of opening up its platform to developers. It will not be completely open, but through permitted partners such as - Tokbox (video chat), Talkshoe (conference calls on the fly), Ustream (lifecasting) and Pudding Media (PC to PC VOIP calls).
