Google prepares to launch OpenSocial

Google will be launching OpenSocial (OS) on November 1st. OpenSocial will enable developers to create applications that work on all social networks. Opensocial is billed as Social Network platform consisting of 3 APIs giving developers access to user data, social graph and rss feeds etc. Unlike Facebook, Google's OpenSocial will not be using a proprietary markup language.
