BT buys Ribbit and guns for Android and Skype

Billing itself as Silicon Valley's first internet phone company, Ribbit's chief Ted Griggs is a happy man. BT is buying this startup for about $105 Million and Ribbit is all happy and gushing at this acquisition. BT is aiming at the bigger guns like Android and Skype with this in their kitty.     I am not sure how much I agree with this article, the claims are pretty vague. Google's Grandcentral has not seen main-stream adoption yet. Skype is almost defacto standard while it comes to internet telephony, it is difficult to believe that the ebay will let them steal the thunder.

    I agree with the software-switch part, Software switches are the future, but we need an Open-source solution if we want to see real innovation in Telco industry.
