Well as expected - Cisco has been prowling around for a while and this buy makes sense. Fits well into their Linksys acquisition.
WiMAX is the next big thing. In US we are far behind, but it seems to be catching on in Asia. In US the infrastructure providers have already made huge investment in old technologies a while back and they have little incentive to invest in new technologies because they enjoy almost a monopoly in different markets.
In developing countries where the internet is coming in now, those guys have a clean slate.. they can pick and deploy the latest and greatest technologies.
